About the Role
In this role, you'll report to an Engineering Manager within the Scheduling & Availability team and lead features and architecture to maintain user confidence in Calendly. You'll work with technologies like Google Cloud Platform and many more.
Requirements
Proven expertise in designing, operating, and maintaining high-traffic, high-availability platforms and systems.
Extensive experience steering technical direction, leading complex problem-solving efforts, and guiding teams through challenges.
Skilled in driving zero-to-one development of critical technical capabilities.
Hands-on experience leading major architectural refactors; bonus points for experience transitioning a monolithic application to a microservices architecture.
Strong problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for diagnosing complex systems, identifying root causes, and implementing effective mitigations and resolutions.
Demonstrated ability to innovate and propose new solutions or improvements that align with organizational goals.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Collaborative team player with experience working effectively in both in-person and remote, distributed team environments.
Proven leadership in mentoring and guiding engineering teams to success.
Adaptable to new technologies, evolving requirements, and changing organizational needs.
Availability for participation in on-call rotation, ensuring prompt, effective responses to business-critical alerts outside of regular hours.
Willingness to travel up to 10%.
